Late 19th century to 1920s antique Meiji period Japanese blue and white porcelain bowl featuring boys playing around the interior, typical printed designs around interior edge and center, and blossoms on exterior. Features the "snake eye" style base of the period. 7" across, 2 3/4" high. No chips or cracks. There are glaze bubbles and some kiln debris from time of manufacture. Nice rich cobalt blue. The playing boys are a symbol of good luck. Heavy piece.
